The North Farm Citizens Association, Inc. (NFCA) is the official Home Owners Association (HOA) for the subdivision of North Farm in the City of Rockville, Maryland. The NFCA is a non-profit legal entity established in June 1984, to benefit the homeowners. The objectives of the NFCA include:
The two largest roles the NFCA performs are social (Community Day) and Architectural Review. All exterior modifications to property need to be reviewed by the Architectural Review Committee (ARC). Typically, builders and contractors require sign off from an HOA before doing work (if they don’t ask for HOA approval, you should ask them why they don’t).
For more on the ARC, please visit our Documents section and see the Architectural Policy and Architectural Approval Request Form.
The North Farm Citizens Association is run by a group of volunteer homeowners. We have many opportunities for homeowners to get involved including:
Board Positions
Architectural Review Committee
Community Day
Directory Updates & Distribution
Listserv Administration
Website Administration
Learn more about volunteering by emailing us at NFCA@NorthFarm.us.
Meetings will occur every second Monday of every other month, starting at 7:30 PM. Per CCOC guidance, meetings are held by conference call.

We have been in the neighborhood since 2008, first renting, and then buying when we were able to since we like living here so much. You may often see our daughter Rebeckah and our dog, Chicago, walking in the area. Our house is located at one of the elementary school bus stops, during the school year we get to see all the kids, dogs, and parents outside and get to know them.

I was a ‘block captain’ a few years ago. After attending Walter Johnson High School, I graduated from the University of Maryland College Park campus, taught school, played keyboard for a year in a small, local band (fulfilling my kindergarten claim that I would grow up to be a rock star), then graduated from UMd medical school in Baltimore. I currently work at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

I also coach two soccer teams for Montgomery County recreational soccer, and am the CFO of a transportation planning firm based in the Rockville Town Center – so I’m always around!

My wife is a local, having grown up in Rockville and attended the University of Maryland, she now works as an attorney for the Federal Government. I am a marketing executive for a technology company, and am very much enjoying living in North Farm.
